Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-17
These Terms govern your use of the AltaClario service ("the Service"). By creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. You may not attempt to access other tenants' data, probe for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated security disclosure, or use the Service to violate applicable law.
3. Data & connected providers
When you connect a provider (Jira, Azure DevOps) you authorize AltaClario to read issues, sprints, and related metadata on your behalf. Credentials are encrypted at rest; see the Security page for specifics.
4. Plans & billing
New workspaces begin with a 14-day trial of the Team plan. Paid plans and their usage limits are described at signup. Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period you selected at checkout until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time. Unless stated otherwise in these Terms, cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for — you keep access until then, and we do not refund the remainder of that period. The one exception is a cancellation made because you decline updated Terms, which is covered in section 5 below and does carry a pro-rated refund.
5. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Each version carries a version stamp, and we record which version you accepted and when.
When we publish a materially updated version, you will be asked to review and accept it the next time you use the Service. Until you make a choice, access to your workspace is paused — we do not apply new Terms to you silently, and continued use is not treated as agreement. You then have two options:
- Accept the updated Terms and continue using the Service as normal.
- Decline and cancel. If you decline, your subscription is cancelled and, if you are on a paid plan, we refund the unused portion of the billing period you have already paid for, pro-rated from the date you decline to the end of that period. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Access ends when you decline, and we aim to process the refund within 10 business days.
Declining does not delete your account or workspace data — see the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion. If your workspace is on a free or trial plan there is nothing to refund, and declining simply ends your access.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice.
7. Termination & repeat-offender policy
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to other users.
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly violate these Terms or who are the subject of repeated valid notices of copyright infringement. Repeat-offender determinations are made at our discretion based on an internal log of substantiated complaints (including DMCA notices that go uncontested or are upheld). Two or more substantiated reports within a rolling twelve-month window will ordinarily result in account termination; a single egregious incident may also be grounds.
8. Reporting abuse & copyright
To report content on the Service that you believe is infringing, unlawful, or otherwise violates these Terms, use our abuse-report form. For copyright takedowns specifically, our DMCA Notice & Takedown page lists our designated agent and the statutory notice and counter-notice procedures under 17 USC §512.
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
